SCOTTISH TARTANS WILL BE `KIRKED' SUNDAY

The Scottish clans of Utah will have their tartans "kirked" (blessed) at a colorful and traditional ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 14, at the Cathedral Church of St. Mark, 231 E. 100 South.
The Salt Lake Scots Pipe Band and clan representatives in full regalia will be participants in the ceremony, according to Mark Hunter, a director of the Utah Scottish Association.
